Payment Settings

This group of tabs controls your hotel currency, tax, occupancy and high season rates, bookings and reservations payment options and payment gateways.

Worth a special note, we already incorporated several payment gateways like paypal, if you miss a payment gateway please get in touch with us, it will be a pleasure to incorporate it into Hoteloni content management system. Let's take a look at each tab.

Basic Settings

Currency Symbol, no matter where your hotel is located in the world, Hoteloni supports more than 100 currencies. Select your hotel currency symbol from the drop-down
Currency Code, auto generated field that displays your hotel currency code according to the above selection
Tax Number, optional field to insert your tax number, mostly seem in your hotel bookings and reservation invoices
Tax Percentage, optional field to insert your tax percentage.

Info If you do not which to apply taxes, leave empty the Tax Number and Tax Percentage fields.

High Seasons

A great tool to apply different room rates for occupancy percentage and high seasons dates.

High seasons are calculated per room base rate and add up. Once configured the process is automatic and updates hourly. If you change the rooms base rate (the lowest room rate), you can wait for the automatic process to run or you can force it to run by clicking Apply High Season button in Settings, Rooms page.

Occupancy Percentage and Rate Percentage, allows you to charge a certain percentage per room if your hotel room occupancy is above a certain percentage. You can set both percentages.

Occupancy Percentage, write the hotel occupancy percentage at which point the below rate percentage gets applied
Rate Percentage, write the percentage to be added to your room base rate if the above hotel occupancy percentage is reached

High Seasons Dates and Rate Percentage, allows you to charge a certain percentage per room if within the High Season dates. You can configure 1 or all 3 high seasons.

High Season 1 From Date, select high season 1 start date
High Season 1 To Date, select high season 1 end date
High Season 1 Rate Percentage, write the percentage to be added to your room base rate if current date is within the start and end date

High Season 2 From Date, select high season 2 start date
High Season 2 To Date, select high season 2 end date
High Season 2 Rate Percentage, write the percentage to be added to your room base rate if current date is within the start and end date

High Season 3 From Date, select high season 3 start date
High Season 3 To Date, select high season 3 end date
High Season 3 Rate Percentage, write the percentage to be added to your room base rate if current date is within the start and end date

Discounts

Extremely important in the hospitality business, allows you to mange all your hotel discount coupons. Perfect for marketing campaigns or providing a good customer support in those special occasions where a discount is a must.

The Discounts Available displays all your hotel discounts in a table format, you can sort, filter or change the number of entries.

Creation Date, the discount creation date
Creation User, the discount creation user
Start Date, the discount start date
End Date, the discount end date
Discount Code, the discount code
Percentage, the discount percentage
Status, the discount status is controlled by it's start and end date
- the discount is within start and end date, it's active and can be used
- the discount has past it's end date, it's expired and can not be used
- the discount hasn't reached it's start date, it's paused or onhold and can not be used
Export, clicking the export button will export that specific discount row in PDF format, sometimes useful to have printed in your lobby or reception front desk
Options
- Edit discount
- Delete discount

Pressing the Add discount button allows you to create new discounts.

Start Date, select start date from the drop-down calendar
End Date, select end date from the drop-down calendar
Discount Code, write the code to be used example, MyCodeOF25
Discount Percentage, write the discount percentage example, 25

Pressing the Export Discount Usage button allows you to export in CSV format all discont usage, necessary for business management, marketing management or simply bookkeeping. The export file contains these fields:

Date, the date the discount was used
Booking Id, the booking or reservation id the discount was used
Code, the discount code used
Total Discount, the total amount of discount

Amount Deducted, the total amount of discount deducted from the total

Pay Later - Offline Payment

Allows for customers to book a room via online checkout without immediately paying for it. Customer can pay later via their online account or during check-in / check-out.

Allow Pay Later button. When this option is On or Checked, the booking payment status will be pending until the customer finalizes payment.

Paypal REST API

Implements Paypal payment gateway. During online checkout, customers can use their paypal account to pay for the booking. After successful completion the booking payment status is automatically set as complete or payed.

Press Paypal button to activate this payment gateway and fill out the below fields.

Paypal REST API Client ID

The Paypal REST API Client Id can be obtained from your PayPal account.

We have also incorporated Paypal Sandbox or testing mode, just insert your sandbox client id. Remember to swap to live client id them after successful testing.

Stripe

Implements the credit card Stripe payment gateway. During online checkout, customers can use their credit card to pay for the booking. After successful completion the booking payment status is automatically set as complete or payed.

Press Stripe button to activate this payment gateway and fill out the below field.

Stripe Api Secret Key

The Stripe API Key can be obtained from your Stripe account.
